Terms and Conditions of Hire
Reservations
A reservation deposit of £150.00 per week is required at the time of making a reservation and this will be deducted from the total hire charge. The deposit in non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
Confirmation of booking will be posted or emailed to you with an invoice for the remainder of the hire charge. This invoice must be paid 28 days before your hire period commences.
Security Deposit
A £750.00 credit/debit card security deposit will be payable by you on the day of hire (please note a 2% non-refundable surcharge will apply to payments by credit card). This sum is equivalent to the insurance excess. The security deposit will be refunded at the end of the hire period provided that the vehicle is returned clean, undamaged and there is no missing equipment.
The condition of the motorhome at the commencement of the hire period will be established and agreed between us before you depart and a hand-over form will be completed.
If damage occurs resulting in claim being made to the insurance company the security deposit will be forfeited.
If any minor damage occurs or there are any breakages, missing equipment or the need for extra cleaning we will deduct the cost from the security deposit and return to you any surplus of the security deposit remaining.
By way of guidance potential charges that may be made against the security deposit are toilet cassette not emptied and cleaned - £50.00. Missing or damaged equipment - cost of replacement and workshop charges. Additional cleaning required if the inside of motorhome is not returned in the same state of cleanliness as at the commencement of your hire period - £50.00.
If any damage whatsoever is caused to the motorhome during your period of hire even if very minor you must advise us by phone at the time the damage occurs in order that we can arrange replacement parts and workshops. If we are not made aware of such damage until you return the motorhome you will be charged our daily rate as advertised on our website for any period that the motorhome is not able to be subsequently hired.
Cancellation
We must receive all cancellation in writing and the following charges apply
More than six weeks before the hire period commences - loss of deposit only
four to six weeks before the hire period commences - 25% of the hire charge
four weeks or less before the hire period commences - 100% of the hire charge
Pick-up and Return
You may pick up the motorhome between 2.30pm and 5pm on the date of your hire and must return it on the last day of hire by 10.30am, after which time you will not be insured to drive the motorhome. Unless prior arrangement with us.
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, the motorhome must be picked-up and returned to our business premises at Acacia Farm, Bristol Road, Rooksbridge, BS26 2TA
If, due to circumstances beyond our control, the motorhome reserved is not available your hire charge will be refunded although we will not be held responsible further in any other way.
Insurance
Included within the hire charge is fully comprehensive insurance for one named driver to drive the motorhome for the duration of your hire period.
We advise you to take out your own travel insurance to cover cancellation, personal possessions and personal injury in the event of an accident.
Drivers
In order to fulfil the terms and conditions of our insurance policy the driver must be between the ages of 25 and 70 years old.
The terms and conditions of our insurance policy provide if the driver has an overseas driving license an additional charge per day will be added and charged to you.
If the driver has convicted motoring offences an additional charge per day per offence will be charged (you must notify us of any motoring convictions you have at the time of booking). For European travel insurance an additional charge of per day will be due.
To insure an additional driver an additional charge will be charged per day, a maximum of 2 drivers may be insured to drive the motorhome at any one time.
The driver will be responsible for any speeding or parking fines, congestion charges and penalty points incurred during the hire period.
We must have two forms of identification from all drivers before you are to commence your hire period and this must include their full driving licence with paper counterpart, and a further proof of address being either a utility bill(s) or bank statement(s) dated within the last 90 days (not to include mobile phone bills). The driving licence and utility bill/bank statement must be in the same address.
Mileage
Unlimited mileage is included in the hire charge.
The hirer must not take the motorhome outside mainland Britain without our prior written consent.
Motorhome Security
For the duration the hire period the hirer is fully responsible for the security of the vehicle at all times.
The vehicle must be safeguarded at all times. If the vehicle is left unattended all doors must be securely locked, all windows closed and locked and the vehicle parked in a safe, well- lit location with the alarm set.
Do not under any circumstances leave the keys in the ignition or in any of the door locks or about the vehicle unattended.
At all times when in, around or away from the vehicle keep the keys in a safe place and securely about your person.
If the vehicle is not sufficiently safeguarded and our insurance policy does not cover any loss or damage caused the hirer will be held fully responsible for the full value of the loss or damage caused.
All heat and cooking appliance must be operated with due care and attention. When the vehicle is unattended the hirer must ensure all heating and cooking appliance are turned off. If fire risks are caused due to the misuse of the heating or cooking appliances the hirer will be held fully responsible.
Toilet and Waste
The hirer is responsible for emptying the toilet cassette and waste tanks before returning the motor home, failure to do so will incur a £50.00 charge.
Breakdowns
We make every effort to ensure the motorhome is in a roadworthy condition prior to every hire. In the event of a breakdown the hirer must notify us immediately as soon as any fault become apparent and must complete a claim form on their return. Before any repairs or replacements are carried we must first give our approval.
The maximum height of the motorhome is stated on our website and therefore any overhead damage will be the responsibility of the hirer.
Any call-out charges made by the hirer such as for flat batteries, incorrect fuel, lost keys, etc will be the responsibility of the hirer.
We do not accept any liability for any accommodation charges, replacement vehicle costs or other consequential damages arising from a breakdown, accident or other causes.
We will refund you for any complete day the motorhome was unusable.
Accidents
In the event of an accident, do not accept liability and call the police if there is a dispute.
In the event of a breakdown or an accident we are at your disposal 7 days a week, 24 hours per day.
Fuel/ Gas/ Oil
A full tank of fuel will be provided at the commencement of the hire period and the motorhome should be returned with a full tank of fuel.
The hirer will be responsible for the cost of all repairs if the wrong fuel is used.
The hirer should check the oil and water levels on a daily basis and ensure they are kept at the correct levels.
Included within the hire charge is a full gas bottle and spare and we will refund any refill costs during the hire period upon proof of a receipt.

Smoking
We operate a strictly no smoking policy in all our vehicles.
Parking
You may securely park your car at our business premises for the duration of the hire period, however this will be at your own risk and no liability will be accepted for any loss or damage.
